Sweet Cricket Design, based in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, has been in business since 2008, and we made our Etsy debut in 2010. You can find our designs on our site, sweetcricket.com and also on Snapfish.com.
Lots of people ask me how I came up with the name for my business. When my daughter, Mia was born, the two of us would take long walks everyday around Jamaica Pond and all throughout our neighborhood. Those walks were my thinking time, and I created my business plan and all of my ideas for my design venture during those walks.
All the while, my sweet little girl would gaze at the world, taking in all the sounds and sights of the city from her stroller while rubbing her feet together like a little cricket. When it came time to name the business before our first official launch, it was a no brainer – Sweet Cricket – after my daughter, who has truly helped me realize that anything is possible.
